Total Return
A total return objective is a prominent
objective with aim at providing the highest returns the portfolio
manager believes are available in the market. A Total Return
objective for any True Diversification® portfolio is not created in
a vacuum of risk, as risk adversely affects the probability of
achieving the expected outcome. A total return objective is in and
of itself agnostic to time periods as we seek a diversity of time
periods sufficient for our forecasts to manifest.

Current Income
A current income objective is designed for
investors requiring regular money from the portfolio. Total yields
vary with market conditions. Income is typically in the form of
coupon payments from bonds and dividend payments from stocks.

Minimizing Tax
A Tax efficient objective seeks to invest in
assets that are generally expected to be held longer than one year.
Short term capital gains may still stake place but are kept to a
minimum. Rebalancing and re-optimization actions are holistically
designed on time frames that seek to minimize the turnover in a
portfolio. More fundamental tax effective objectives will refrain
from making less material changes to a portfolio.

Diversification
This is the total diversification of the
portfolio which accounts for the number of holdings and the
commonality of those holdings. This is the most comprehensive single
measure of diversification.

Capital Preservation
Capital Preservation this is the probability
that the portfolio will not sustain losses. Minor fluctuations are
tolerated. Capital preservation is a competing objective with nearly
any other objective. Capital Preservation is not the same thing as
maintaining purchasing power which could erode due to inflation.

Consistency
This is a measure of the predictability of
the portfolio. It is the product of a measure of the randomness of
the price of the portfolio (or asset) and the volatility of that
asset/portfolio. Higher Consistency is desired.

Minimizing Market Exposure
A systematic risk reduction objective seeks
to reduce the influence of general market forces on the portfolio.
This is achieved by our patented diversification and risk
measurement tools which allow the portfolio manager to ascertain the
exposure of the model portfolio to principal risk factors. While
systematic risk can be reduced from conventionally constructed
portfolio it is not reasonable to expect such risk to ever be
eliminated.
